Superwoman: Ice Cold Winter: Part 2

Eddie Winter sat at his luxurious desk and opened up his laptop. He punched a series of keys on the keyboard and placed his iris up to the camera. His biometrics was a match for Eddie Winter and suddenly he was in a meeting with The Syndicate’s Global Council. The Syndicate paid special attention to Eddie since he operated on Superwoman’s home turf.

“Mr. Winter, so glad you could join us. Have you killed Superwoman yet?” Mr. Dark said over the computer knowing that Superwoman was alive and well.

“Thank you Mr. Dark. No, I haven’t killed her, but I’d sure like to. She just cost me millions in an arms deal.” Eddie replied.

“Yes, the Croations are very upset they didn’t receive the agreed to weapons. I’m also very upset because the Croations needed those weapons for an operation that would’ve benefited me a great deal.” Mr Dark said.

“Guess there’s a lot of disappointment going around these days. I’m disappointed the Null Crystals I outfitted my boys with don’t work no more. Superwoman is back to being invincible. But we’re coming up with ways to kill her.” Eddie replied.

“Ways to kill Superwoman? You will fail Mr. Winter. She has powers that require a person who understands the particular type of ancient magic in her artifacts. Majick was that person when she worked for The Badguy. She came up with the Null Crystals and Badguy had Superwoman defeated. But his own enjoyment of her body blinded him and he chose to let her live. Now he’s rotting in prison content to relive the times he fucked her pantyhose feet in his mind.” Mr. Dark said with contempt in his voice.

“That don’t explain why the crystals don’t work no more.” Eddie said.

“My sources have told me that Majick reversed the spell that kept the Null Crystals active. The spell was extremely complex  since so many copies of Null Crystals were made. It took her years. But six months ago she completed it to keep Superwoman safe. So Majick has gone full circle from Superwoman’s enemy to her loyal friend. She’s a traitor to us and she too needs to be dealt with!” Mr. Dark replied.

“So I take my guys and rough her up a bit. Make her turn the crystals back on. Then BAM! We put a bullet in Superwoman’s skull.” Eddie said.

“No Mr. Winter. Majick would turn you and your men into frogs and have you eating flies. She’s much too powerful especially as a Guardian of Magic. I have someone else in mind. Someone who will need something from you after he helps you kill Superwoman. His name is The Traveler and he will be contacting you soon” Mr. Dark replied.

“The Traveler? What’s his deal? Eddie inquired.

“He is a man without a home. A master of dark magic and a technological genius. He does not seek fame, only fortune. His ultimate goal is a mystery. He will be able to help you kill Superwoman. We will pay his fee. Superwoman gone will benefit The Syndicate and your operations too Mr. Winter. So wait for him to contact you. Good day Mr. Winter. I think we’ll all be very happy when this is done.” Mr. Dark said before terminating the meeting.

Eddie sat back in his chair feeling a bit easier than before. “The Traveler huh? I’ll take all the help I can get.” He said to himself.

Meanwhile, at Delta City PD holding…

Detective Rebecca Hunt walks into the interrogation room staring at a defiant and confident Big Sal. “Salvatore Spagnola, lengthy criminal record, did a nickel in Federal prison for assaulting a mailman. You’re just a big fat winner in life Sally.” Rebecca said smugly. Sal’s face twitched at being called Sally. “You fucking cunt, I’m Sal, not Sally.” Sal replied. Rebecca cracked the slightest of grins. “I’m not saying shit until my lawyer gets here and when he does I’ll be leaving so you’re wasting your time bitch.” Sal said.

“Oh Sally, I’m not here to question you. Your lawyer is coming up the elevator as we speak. I just wanted you to pass a message to Mr. Winter from me when you’re begging for his forgiveness.” Rebecca said.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about. Don’t know an Eddie Winter.” Sal replied.

“Weird how you know the first name of a person you claim you don’t know. I said Mr. Winter you big moron.” Rebecca said.

“Nah, you heard wrong, clean your ears out cop.” He replied.

“I wonder how Eddie Winter feels about having a rat like you on his crew?” Rebecca sarcastically asks. Sal looks up at her seriously. “Big Sal ain’t no rat!” He said.

“That’s not what Superwoman said. She told us you bragged that the bullet meant for her was from Eddie Winter.” Rebecca says. Sal looks at Rebecca and smirks. “Pfft, that won’t hold up in court. Superwoman’s word against mine.” He said.

Rebecca pulls out her phone and plays a security camera video from the docks. A clear video of Sal holding a gun to a beaten Superwoman. “Time to die Superbitch. Eddie Winter sends his regards.” Sal’s mouth falls open as his skin turns pale. “You fucking bitch! I’m a dead man! You just signed my death notice!” He yells.

Suddenly the door opens. Sal was expecting it to be his lawyer, but Delta City District Attorney Josephine Crimea walked in clicking her high heels on the floor. “The District Attorneys office will be prosecuting Eddie Winter and his Winter Ave gang thanks to you Sal.” The gorgeous brunette said with authority. Sal began to sweat profusely. Then the door opened and his high powered attorney walked in.

“That’s enough! Anything my client said here is without merit or legal standing.” He said suddenly noticing Josephine Crimea. “The DA is here? What the hell is this?” He asks. Josephine looks at the expensive defense attorney. “See you in court Jason.” She says with an intimidating glance. He turns to Sal. “Let’s go Sal, you made bail.” He says taking Sal’s arm and leading him out. Suddenly Sal breaks…

“No! I can’t go back! I’ll stay here.” Sal says sitting back down terrified at the thought of facing Eddie. “Sal, let’s go, you’re free.” The lawyer repeats. Rebecca pushes Sal out of his chair. “Time to go Sally, you made bail.” She says as Sal reluctantly walks out the door with his attorney.

“Oh, Sally! The message! Tell him Rebecca Hunt is coming and she’s bringing fucking Hell with her!” She yells out.

Meanwhile back at Eddie Winters mansion…

Eddie sits at the bar in his office enjoying a cigar and a drink. A light knock on the door. “What is it?” Eddie asks. The door opens and his butler walks in. “Sir, you have a visitor who calls himself The Traveler. He said he has an appointment with you, but I saw nothing on your schedule.” The butler says. Eddie was pleasantly surprised, but was expecting a call from this Traveler first. “He’s here now?” He asks as the butler responds. “Yes, sir.” Eddie cracks a wide grin….

“Let him in.”
