Omega Girl: The Red Ghost Part 4

Oksana sits in an interrogation room in the Omega City Police Department. Gagged with her hands cuffed to the table as she sits on a metal chair bolted to the floor. The lead Detective Bill Sullivan is outside the interrogation room trying to map out a way to communicate with Oksana.

Bill Sullivan is a large man with salt and pepper hair. He’s a heavy drinker and a misogynist. The type of man who whispers racist jokes to anyone he thinks would appreciate them. His big belly hangs over his belt under his half untucked shirt. His service weapon is a revolver. The man is a relic from a time that has passed him by. Still working to pay alimony to two ex wives.

Detective Sullivan is chatting with a new patrolman about the “hot chick” he saw at the bar last night. Bragging about how he flashed his badge and bought her drinks all night. “You get laid for all the cash you put out in drinks Billy?” A patrolman asked. The answer was no, but before Bill could make up a story the elevator doors opened up and a gorgeous blonde in a short leather jacket, tight blue jeans and low cut leather boots steps onto the precinct floor.

Bill slaps the patrolman on the arm and points at the woman. “Will ya check out that piece of ass stepping off the elevator. She must be lost or something. Watch how it’s done rookie.” Bill said as he walked up to the beautiful woman. “Hey sweetheart, what’s your favorite drink? I’m asking so I know what to order you on our first date.” He said smiling. The woman pulls out a detective badge and holds it up completely ignoring Bill.

“Detective Rebecca Hunt, Delta City Police Department. I’m looking for Detective William Sullivan.” Rebecca says in her usual getting right down to business tone. Bill whispers to himself “fuck” as he approaches Detective Hunt. “That’s me Miss Delta City. A little out of your jurisdiction ain’t ya? What can I do for you?” Bill asks.

Rebecca glares at him. “You can start by answering your fucking phone detective.” She says with authority. “Then you can get me the file on the super powered assassin in your custody.” Rebecca continues. Bill looks at her with an angry glare. “Whoa! Who the fuck do you think you are? Just because you’re some hot shit cop from Delta City you think us lowly Omega City cops have to bow down to you? Fuck you cunt! When my Chief hears about this he’ll make one call to DCPD and get you thrown off the force you arrogant bitch!”

Suddenly the elevator opens again revealing The Chief of Police and The Mayor of Omega City. “SULLIVAN!” The Chief screams silencing the obnoxious detective. The Chief and Mayor walk towards Rebecca and Bill. “Jesus Christ Sullivan why aren’t you answering your phone? The Chief asks. Bill fumbles as he pulls his phone out noticing 27 missed calls and texts from The Chief. “Uh, I uh …had it on silent, sir.” Sullivan stammers while also acknowledging The Mayor.

The Chief shakes Rebecca’s hand. “Good to have you here helping out on this case Detective Hunt. He says while The Mayor also greets her. “Yes, Detective Hunt such a pleasure to meet you.” He says.

“Well, I see you’ve met Lead Detective Sullivan.” The Chief says to Rebecca. “Oh yes, he’s quite a piece of work. I believe he was just about to fetch me the profile for this assassin he’s been working on.” she replies. Sullivan looks at her with disdain dripping off his face. He pulls The Chief aside…

“What the fuck is she doing here Chief?” Sullivan asks. “If you picked up your phone you’d know that Dimitri Smith specifically asked to have her work the case. Rebecca Hunt is a personal friend of Dimitri Smith and Dimitri Smith is a personal friend of The Mayor who approved it.” The Chief replies.

“So some rich tech asshole just gets whatever he wants?” Sullivan asks sarcastically. “Dimitri built this police station, a new library and 4 new schools in Omega City. Not to mention the various charities he set up. So yes, he’s getting Rebecca Hunt to help you. We don’t get a lot of international assassins here. So shut the fuck up and get her that fucking file!” The Chief commands. “Yes, Chief.” Sullivan replies with far less bluster than he started the conversation with.

Sullivan hands Rebecca the file. She opens it up to see a mugshot of Oksana with a post it note stuck to it with “french maybe?” scribbled on it. Rebecca looks at Sullivan with a face that could only be described as disgust mixed with anger. Sullivan shrugs his shoulders. “I’ve been busy, haven’t had time to write it up.” he says.

“So you think she’s French?” Rebecca questions. “Yeah, that’s what my gut tells me. Call it a hunch. My instincts are always right. That’s what makes me a great detective.” Sullivan says. Rebecca walks over to the two way mirror to view Oksana gagged and sitting cuffed to the table. She analyzes the prisoner…

“She’s a Russian assassin. Covert, KGB era training. She’s the current number 2 assassin in Russia.” Rebecca explains as everyone looks at her bewildered.

“How the hell do you know all this?” The Chief questions. “It’s simple. Look at that small tattoo on her wrist.” Rebecca says pointing to Oksana. “It’s a small skull with a hammer and sickle behind it. Under it are 2 marks representing her status in the organization. She’s the number 2 assassin. Those tattoos are given as identification to the elite of the elite in Russian covert ops.” Rebecca explains as they still look bewildered. “Some of my military service was in covert ops.” She adds.

Sullivan rudely interrupts with his loud voice. “We need to question her, but if we take that gag off she’s gonna level this building and turn us into goo on the walls.” Sullivan said looking at Rebecca with a cocky grin. “You’d look good as  bloody goo on the wall. Go talk to her hot shot.” He said expecting Rebecca to have no plan.

“He’s right Detective Hunt. Do you have any ideas?” The Chief asked. “Yeah, I do.” Rebecca replied as the elevator door behind them opened with a chime. “There’s my interrogator now.” Rebecca says as the “interrogator” walked onto the precinct floor…

The precinct went silent as Superwoman walked out of the elevator and passed the desks towards the interrogation room. It was one thing to see video of Superwoman on your phone or the TV, but in person she exudes strength and power. Everyone has an opinion on Superwoman. Most of her criticism comes from her “slutty” uniform. A uniform that is perfectly acceptable at the beach yet somehow isn’t acceptable for crime fighting. But when faced with Superwoman in person the criticism falls away because she fills people with a sense of awe. The fluorescent lights of the precinct danced delicately on her pantyhose as her red boots clicked on the linoleum floor. The toned muscles in her legs flexing as she walked while her dark hair frames her gorgeous masked face.

The silence of the precinct was broken by a young rookie cop in the back. “Yeah! SUPERWOMAN!” She yelled out clapping. The entire precinct erupted into applause and cheers for the world’s most powerful and kind hearted woman. Superwoman smiled and nodded at the applause as she reached Rebecca and The Chief.

The Chief raised his hands to silence the cheering. “We are professionals! Act like it!” He yells out as the precinct hushes. The Mayor of Omega City leans in to shake Superwoman’s hand. “I’m a big fan.” He says enjoying the feel of Superwoman’s small slender hand in his. She gives Rebecca a friendly hug as she hands Superwoman a file. She exchanges pleasantries with The Chief then turns back to Rebecca.

“That’s the assassin.” Rebecca says. “She’s our best chance to find out where Omega Girl is.” Superwoman replies as she moves to enter the interrogation room with the file. Everyone moves into the observation room to watch Superwoman talk to the deadly superpoweed sonic assassin.

Superwoman enters the room to a steely glare from the muzzled Oksana. She tugs at her hand cuffs chained to the table. “Hello, my name is Superwoman. I want to have a civil conversation with you. I’m going to remove your muzzle. If you try to sonic scream your way out I will stop you. Do we have an understanding?” Superwoman asks. Oksana glares wickedly at the sexy red and pantyhose clad crime fighter. Superwoman removes the muzzle. “What is your name?” Superwoman asks.

“I know who you are. American Superwoman. You are not the Superwoman of the 1980’s and 90’s. I saw the video of her death. It was a glorious day when she died. Was she related to you? You must have been a baby when she died. Was she your mother?” Oksana mocks as she notices Superwoman’s jaw clench. Oksana smiles knowing she touched a nerve. “You can call me Oksana. American whore.” She says confidently.

Inside the observation room Detective Sullivan shakes his head in protest. “Is this bikini bimbo gonna take control of this interrogation? This isn’t punching through a wall or lifting a crane. If she can’t handle it we need to go in.” He says. “Pipe down Sully!” The Chief commands. Rebecca watches anxiously. “Come on Jo, bring out that bitchy lawyer I know you can be.” She whispers to herself.

Superwoman puts the file on the table. “Let’s talk about the facts. You are a covert Russian assassin. You are not The Red Ghost. You don’t even get a code name. You’re just number two. Your mission is to kill Dimitri Postoronka and kidnap his daughter. You failed. But you know who didn’t fail? The Red Ghost.” Superwoman says as she opens the file revealing camera footage photos of The Red Ghost leaving with an unconscious Omega Girl.

Oksana looks at the photos and clenches her hands into fists. She pounds the metal table which makes the people in the observation room jump back. “Red Ghost killed Dimitri?” She asked.  “No, I stopped her. But she did get away with Omega Girl.” Superwoman replied. “Then she is a hero and I have been disgraced.” Oksana says looking down at her cuffed wrists.

“Oksana, I need you to tell me where I can rescue Omega Girl.” Superwoman asks.

“Rescue? It is too late for little Postoronka. She will be brainwashed. Putin will make her The Red Ghost.” Oksana warns.

“Omega Girl has a powerful mind. She won’t give in to brainwashing.” Superwoman replies.

“Then she is strong headed like her mother, yet she is The Red Ghost again and just tried to kill her love. Then she kidnapped her own daughter. No, little Postoronka will not resist the conditioning. Nobody can.” Oksana says.

Superwoman keeps calm despite wanting to beat the information out of Oksana. “There are no Russian diplomats trying to free you. No back channel deals to secure your release. Do you think you’d be welcome back in Russia? More likely you’re now a target for assassination. Tell me where Omega Girl is and I can guarantee you’ll receive a fair trial here. You can apply for political asylum. But you need to tell me where Omega has been taken.” She says.

Oksana smiles menacingly at Superwoman. “Or maybe I kill you and escape this foolish police station.” She says letting out a quick sonic scream that shatters her handcuffs. “Now we learn just how invincible you truly are. My scream can liquify steel. You will be a puddle on the wall.” She says as she lets out a powerful sonic cry at Superwoman.

Superwoman stands in front of the powerful sonic cry unphased. The concrete wall behind Superwoman cracks and the two way mirror in the observation room shatters exposing the people behind it. The power of the scream shakes the precinct and shatters windows in the precinct and the next building. This much damage in a matter of two seconds….

The scream comes to a quick end as Superwoman reaches out and grabs Oksana’s throat. Oksana’s eyes widen in terror as Superwoman levitates five inches off the ground. Oksana grabs uselessly at the iron grip of Superwoman trying to break free. Oksana quickly realizes that Superwoman is more powerful than the KGB reports mentioned. She also sees in her eyes that Superwoman can be trusted.

“Now that you got that out of your system. Do you accept my offer?” Superwoman asks unblinking in Oksana’s eyes. Oksana agrees aggressively nodding her head. Superwoman slowly drops back to the floor and releases Oksana. She looks up at Superwoman with serious eyes. “A fair trial and political asylum, yes?” She clarifies. “yes.” Superwoman replies.

“Give me a pen.” Oksana says ripping a piece of the file folder from the table. Superwoman motions to the now visible Rebecca as she tosses her a pen. This is the location of our base. This is where little Postoronka is kept. It will be heavily guarded, but you will have the element of surprise.” She says.

“Thank you.” Superwoman says as she passes through the now shattered window into the observation room. She hands Rebecca the paper. “Get this to the team in person. No electronic trail.” “Got it.” Rebecca says as she heads out.

Superwoman then turns her attention to The Mayor and Police Chief of Omega City. “I request Oksana be transferred to Delta City in the interest of a fair trial. Send the request to Josephine Circa at the District Attorney’s office.” She requests.

“Of course, right away!” The Mayor says. Superwoman leaves the observation room and flies out of one of the newly shattered windows. Sullivan chases after Rebecca who is already on the elevator to the parking garage. “Detective Hunt!” Sullivan yells as Rebecca is about to get into her vehicle. “I’m busy Sullivan, we can pick this up later ” she says as he catches up to her.

“Hey, Detective Hunt I just wanted to apologize for being such an ass. You were right about everything.” Sullivan said. Rebecca wasn’t expecting someone like Sully to ever apologize for anything. Before she could even process a response she felt a needle jam into her neck. The effect of the nerve toxin in the needle was immediate. Rebecca Hunt couldn’t move a muscle in her toned body. “Stupid bitch. Not such a great detective after all.” Sullivan said with a Russian accent. Sullivan looked around to check for people then he put the helpless Rebecca in the driver’s seat and started the car. He quickly grabbed a hose from the maintenance closet and shoved it in the exhaust pipe of Rebecca’s car. He then put the other end through the barely open window.

“Poor Detective Hunt. Must’ve had undiagnosed mental problems. She went and committed suicide like a coward.” Sullivan said laughing. He then took the paper with the coordinates to the secret military base in Siberia. Sullivan pulls out a secondary cell phone and hits #1 on speed dial…

Across the globe in Siberia The Captain’s phone rings on his desk. “Comrade Sullivan. Report.” The Captain says. Sullivan looks at the coordinates in his hand. “Superwoman is on her way to you. Number two is a traitor.” Sullivan reports.

“Good work Comrade Sullivan. We will be ready for Superwoman. Make sure Number two is eliminated.” The Captain orders. “It will be done.” Sullivan replies. He hangs up and looks at the immobilized Rebecca. He grabs a lighter and burns the paper in front of Rebecca’s car so she can see. “You failed Detective. Now Superwoman will die. But not before you asphyxiate to death.” He gloats as he pulls up his sleeve to reveal the hammer and sickle tattoo of Russian assassins. Laughing he walks back to the the elevator bank…

Sullivan sees Oksana being led away to prisoner holding until the arrangements for Delta City can be made. “I’ll take her down to holding. She’s my case.” Sullivan says as he picks up Oksana’s muzzle. “I think we’d all feel better if you put this muzzle back on.” He says as he places the muzzle on. Sullivan leads the gagged and cuffed Oksana to the prisoner elevator. He pushes the button for the garage level. Halfway between the precinct pit level and garage Sullivan stops the elevator. Oksana senses danger. “So you cut a deal with Superwoman to save your own skin. You are a coward and a traitor. A failure! Putin sends his regards!” Sullivan says as he lunges towards Oksana with a needle filled with the deadly poison Ricin.

Meanwhile in Siberia…

Alarms blare inside the secret base as radar picks up a missile moving towards them at supersonic velocity. The Captain remains calm at his desk with banks of monitors and controls. The massive steel doors blow apart like they were wet paper. Suddenly Superwoman is in the base.

Superwoman floats down the massive corridor. The base was much larger than she anticipated. Suddenly The Captain’s voice booms over the base’s public address system…

“Superwoman. This is your only chance to turn back. You are moving closer to your demise.”

“I’m not leaving here without Omega Girl!” Superwoman says with confidence in her voice.

“Then you are correct about one thing. You are not leaving here.”

Suddenly a single turret emerges from the ceiling. Rail Gun technology which fires projectiles at mach 6. “Your invulnerable body is no match for rail technology, Superwoman.” The Captain says while three projectiles fire rapidly. The first two strike Supewoman in the chest slowing her down briefly. The last projectile strikes her forehead which snaps her head back. Superwoman is sent crashing onto her back. “Hahaha! Overrated American.” The Captain laughs.

Superwoman jumps back up quickly and flies her fist into the turret destroying it in a massive electromagnetic explosion. “I’m going to tear this base apart!” Superwoman yells.

“So confident. Do you think your “team” is coming to help you? Rebecca Hunt is dead. She never told your friends about your foolish mission to Siberia.” The Captain’s voice echoes.

“You lie!” Superwoman screams as she feels her heart skip a beat from the thought of Rebecca dead. Her mind racing about how The Captain could know so much so quickly.

“I never lie. Oksana is also dead. A traitor deserves a traitor’s death. Soon you will join them both. There is no place on this planet my reach doesn’t extend. Even your precious Delta City.”

Superwoman flies faster through the long tunnel. “Omega Girl! I’m here! Where are you?” Superwoman’s voice echoes through the vast base.

“Pathetic. You still believe little Postoronka needs to be rescued? She is my property. She was born to be my property. You are a criminal trespassing on a sovereign nations military base. We are within our rights to use any force necessary to eliminate you!” The Captain booms.

Suddenly the tunnel opens to a large room. In the center of the room is The Red Ghost. She glares at Supewoman. “So we meet again. This time on my turf.” She says confidently as she raises her arms to telekinetically attack Superwoman.
