Night Woman feels a massive tremor in the shadow world and senses an enormous magic power spike near Delta City. The exact location was masked. She calls Josephine to let her know. Josephine tells Renee about her artifacts flying away the previous night. “There is something unsettled in the magic realm. We must be cautious. Something is coming.” Night Woman warns.

Back at the house… 

Joyce is given a black velvet and sheer mesh leotard and black mask to wear. She is now completely controlled by Voodoo and Blackheart. They make her wear black pantyhose and black boots. “Now my slave! Summon your power!” Blackheart says. “I cannot.” Joyce replies. Voodoo looks at her angrily. “Obey or I will destroy your soul, slave!” as he holds the vile and threatens to cast his magic on it. Then Joyce points at the television as a news report live remote flashes on the screen…

[That’s right Chet, Delta City’s very own Superwoman will be addressing the Women’s Conference later this afternoon in support of their cause. People have been lined up for hours in the hopes to get a glimpse of the beautiful superheroine and maybe even get a selfie.] 

Blackheart looks at the image of Superwoman the news has posted. She looks at the artifacts on her neck and waist and smiles. “I knew they looked familiar! We have the second Superwoman in our control!” she said with an evil glint in her eye. “Then we go to this conference and take the power from Superwoman! Then we kill her and make our slave the ONLY Superwoman!” Voodoo exclaims.

Later at the International Women’s Conference… 

Superwoman, the guest of honor, is greeting a long line of waiting fans. Taking the time to chat with everyone. Every few moments stopping to take selfies with fans and citizens of Delta City. The outpouring of support made Superwoman feel great. The federal government still considered superheroines to be illegal.

Later, Superwoman takes the podium of the large event arena. She walks up to the podium from behind the curtain to roaring applause. Smiling and waving at the crowd waiting for the applause to die down. “Thank you…thank you…” she says into the mic smiling and waving as the crowd begins to listen.

“I am immensely honored to be invited to this amazing and important cause! Women are powerful! You don’t have to be a superheroine to be strong! Everyday women are showing men they are just as important as they are. It’s time we end the male dominated patriarchy. The metoo movement has empowered women by exposing the disgusting torment women are forced to endure just to advance a career. It’s time they know that #TimesUp!” That right! #TimesUp for abusive men and I say #TimesUp for abusive criminals!” she says to a deafening roar.

Suddenly Superwoman feels her artifacts pulling away. They shoot off her body and into the crowd in a flash barely noticeable to anyone. Suddenly a dark cloaked figure flies up above the crowd and lands on the stage with Superwoman. The crowd begins to cheer “Night Woman! Night Woman!” but Superwoman knew this wasn’t Night Woman and she was wearing the artifacts. Superwoman poses in her power stance of dominance in front of the strange figure in black.

“Whover you are, you’re making a big mistake.” Superwoman says to the villaness. Suddenly the mysterious woman throws the cloak off to reveal a beautiful woman dressed in all black. Superwoman senses something familiar about her. Then the powerful villain leaps onto the depowered Superwoman and begins to strangle her. Superwoman summons her artifacts, but can now only feel her choker. The choker flies onto her neck and she feels half her power return. She pushes the woman off and throws her crashing into the podium. Superwoman leaps on top of the equally powerful woman and pins her down. “Who are you!?” she says. 

She looks into her soulless eyes and sees Joyce inside. “I must kill you!” The woman says as Josephine recognizes Joyce’s voice. “Auntie? Auntie Joyce?” she says stunned. Joyce looks at Josephine and for a moment the voodoo spell is broken… “help me” she says as Josephine on top of her is stunned.

Then a woman’s voice from the crowd nearby yells out to Joyce “We must leave! Come slave!” she hears. Suddenly Joyce punches Josephine in the head knocking her over. She felt every once of that punch since she was no longer invulnerable, but now Joyce was.

As the three make their escape Blackheart orders Joyce to destroy the light rigging causing it to become unstable and threaten to topple onto the crowd. Superwoman flies above the crowd tracking Joyce when people begin to scream. Superwoman sees the rigging toppling over as she grabs it before it hurts anyone. It was heavier than she thought, when she remembered she now only had half her strength. She saved the innocent people in the crowd, but lost Joyce and her handlers.

Later that night… 

Night Woman appears on top of a skyscraper in Delta City with Superwoman. She explains to Superwoman that her magical investigation has revealed a resurrected Joyce. The fact that her grave was dug up confirmed it. Superwoman is elated that she’s alive, but Night Woman warns that Joyce’s soul is being imprisoned by her handlers. “I’ll find them Jo and when I do I’ll release Joyce’s soul and get her back. In the meantime, you’re not invulnerable anymore. Be careful.” Night Woman says.

The Next Day…

The Delta City Diamond and Jewelry exchange is robbed in record time. A woman dressed in a black leotard, nylons, mask and boots walked into the secured building and ripped the door off the vault. She took as many jewels as she could carry. Armed guards shot at her as the bullets simply bounced off. She barricaded the doors by tossing cars at the entrance keeping everyone inside trapped. She escaped in a car with two other people inside. They made a clean getaway. Several other highly valuable locations were robbed that day in a similar manner. 

That Night…. 

At Blackhearts house Voodoo and Veronica count their new wealth. “It worked perfectly Voodoo! We’re rich!” Blackhearts yells. “Yes, and now I wish to use the slave to satisfy my fantasy!” he says as he pulls out a Superwoman costume. He orders Joyce to take off her black costume and wear the costume of Superwoman. She complies as she’s bound by her soul.

Laying tied spread eagle on the bed Joyce in her pantyhose and red masked Superwoman costume looks to see Voodoo climb on top of her. “Say the words slave. Say what I want to hear!” he commands. Suddenly Night Woman appears in the bedroom and slams Voodoo against the wall “WHERE IS THE SOUL!” her voice echoes. Joyce grabs Night Woman from behind still in her Superwoman costume. Night Woman tries to fight off Joyce while attacking Voodoo. She finds the soul in his pocket and has it in her hand when Voodoo slaps it out and the tube rolls on the floor. Joyce picks up Night Woman and throws her against the wall. Then she puts Night Woman in a choke hold. The vile of soul just out of reach Night Woman struggles as Voodoo stands over it laughing at her. “You stupid dark bitch! Her soul is mine and soon so will yours!” he says as he picks up the vile in front of the weakening Night Woman. “Nooo…Joyce… It’s me…” she says gasping. 

Suddenly a fist shoots from the doorway as Superwoman Josephine arrives knocking Voodoo to the ground. She picks up the vile and crushes it in her hand. Joyce releases Night Woman as her soul enters her body giving her back free will. 

Joyce stands looking around. “I…I’m back in control…” she says removing her mask. She sees Night Woman getting up. “I’m so sorry…I couldn’t stop myself!” she apologizes to her. “It’s okay, just glad you’re back.” Night Woman says. Then Joyce sees Josephine….

“You’re walking! You had the baby! OMIGOD!” she screams out as they all embrace.

Voodoo lashes out at the powerful women. “You fools! I know the true identity of Superwoman! Release me or I tell every villain how to hurt you!” he says. Night Woman reaches into her cloak and retrieves the golden lasso of truth she was entrusted with years ago. “You won’t remember anything.” she says. 

Voodoo and Blackheart were arrested and the stolen items were returned to the owners after the trial. Rebecca Hunt cleaned up the police paperwork and Josephine took care of the legal aspects of bringing Joyce back from the dead. A simple “computer error” incorrectly listed her deceased. Joyce soon went back to her normal routine running her small boutique and mentoring Maria Smith.

Josephine flew through the night sky feeling the cool air on her face happy in the knowledge that her family was whole again.
